A loving man of God called Pastor Zachariah James has a family that would seem like every functional family. His wife died when the children were young with Daniel the eldest twelve, Michelle youngest seven and middle child Sarah being ten years old. He never had the time to grieve as he now had to be a mother, father and a pastor, but on the other hand he kept himself busy and shut himself off from the reality issues around him.

Zachariah also known as Pastor James threw himself into being a Pastor more than being a parent to his three children Daniel, Michelle and Sarah; and neglected to realise why the middle and eldest kids bad behaviour was a cry for help. Michelle stayed close to her father as this is all she knows aswell as not wanting to let down her father and the fact she is the youngest and her older brother and sister was off doing their own things.

Pastor James hides behinds his struggles but will he step in as father before it's to late..................

Dallas

Dallas is a big cat on the endz, he has two close friends called Daniels and Jahmaine. They are like one unit who is down for each other no matter what. Even though his two bredrins work for him they still lookup to him but they all have that mutual respect. They have known each other for time.

Dallas is a gyalis (womaniser) that loves the girls and loves to party hard. If you want to know where the latest house parties and darnces are at, he is the person to ring as he runs the streets. He always knows what's going down. However, Dallas is one person not to be played with because he is not afraid to fight or use a weapon or what ever is in reach, if you mess with him or his crew. As he is known and his reputation carries weight people tend to keep their distance.......

Jahmaine Williams

Jahmaine a young male coming from a violent and abusive household, where violence is a part of everyday life. His mother Dianne gets beaten by his father Marcus on a regular basis but it’s been quiet at home for a while so expect something to happen soon; silence doesn’t last very long. Jahmaine has no respect for women and from the way he was brought up he doesn't know how to show any real emotion but through violence. He has no respect for his girl Sarah, he has no respect for women period..... He speaks to women vulgarly and sees women with one purpose and that is to serve their man as a kings.

Jahmaine enjoys chilling with his boy Daniel and running errands for the top dog Dallas as he doesn't have a job. He believes no one ain't gonna give a job to a'black man'. On the endz Jahmaine is respected and is very "popular". Even though Jahmaine would appear as a strong confident male, he too struggles with channeling and managing his anger......

Is a young teenager who is currently studying at college. She is Elisha's older sister and is good friends with Sarah and hot headed bredrin Charmaine. The hot girls all met at church, went to school together and then they went their seperate ways when Charmaine and Felicia went onto college and Sarah went to look for a job. Felicia is more quiet and reserved and when faced in a situation she tends to play the "peace maker" rather than Charmaine which is the opposite who will hype the situation as she she enjoys the drama. She is caring and maintains a strong position in their friendship. As their personalities are all diferent, it works well as they all want the same result.

In her spare time away from college she enjoys chilling and occasionally going out to parties. Growing up in a stern environment her parents don't stand for foolishness, so for her to go out it would be out the question, but her home girls are always down to cover for her back.

Felicia knows the struggles her brother and good friends are facing, where she can she trys to support them but concentrates on college as she knows what she wants for her future.

A young lady who loves chilling with her home girls and loves excitement. Her hobbies involve shopping, which shows that she knows about the latest trends. As a person she is really into her appearance and is a confident, bubbly, loud person on the outside but on the inside she can be shy. She enjoys male attention and being noticed. Her personality and appearance would make her stand out in a crowd of people and straight away you would no that was Charmaine....... She is a popular person who is known on the endz by everyone.

Charmaine attends college with Felicia who is her bonified. She goes because she knows that's what her mum would want her to do. She doesn't really know what she wants to do with her future but she just takes it as she comes. Growing up, her mother was a single parent and she is the only child, so because her mum is always out working hard Charmaine is left to her own devices, which is what she likes........

Talijah Walker

A teenager who enjoys playing football, chilling on the endz with his home girl Michelle. Talijah is Michelle's good friend, "bonified" from day. They met at school from yr7 and have been close and looked out for each other ever since. They are tight to extent like they are brothers and sisters, and when it comes down to anything they know they will always have each others back.

Talijah is a leader rather than a follower and is able to stand up for what he believes in rather than conforming to his peers. Talijah finds himself dealing with the issues of acceptance and believing and standing by his morals.

He looks up to Michelle even though they live a different life style, they find themselves quite similar in the way that they think. Michelle brought up in a Church background has helped influenced Talijah and help him grow. His life style working on the streets for top dog 'Dallas' has left him confused in the direction he should lead................. walking with god or "living in the world".

Is the yougest sibling of two. She had followed her parents foot steps and had continued to go Church. Her father is very proud of her and doesn't want her to follow in the path of her older brother, " a life of crime, guns and drugs" . From the outside it would appear as she is the perfect daughter as both her brother and sister are going through the challenges of life, but behind closed doors, Michelle still finds herself struggling with her identity and path to follow in.

Michelle has a friend called Talijah. There are sometimes conflicts between them as Talijah is "in the world" . Even though they have that difference they are tight and see themselves as fam just "from another mother.."

Michelle is like one of the boys that enjoys chilling with him friend, aswell as playing keys and basketball. Michelle loves her family and just enjoys chilling with her boi and staying out of the madness of his brother and sister, "living a normal life".......... what ever that may be!!!

Sarah James

Siblings are Mathew and Daniel. Daniel is her older brother who is very protective of her, so most of her running she does she keeps it on the down low..."the streets have ears". Since her mother died she had to take up that role as her father was always in the church and her brother was in juvenile. It was left to her to cook and clean and take care of Mathew when she could.

Leaving home had given Sarah many experiences and to stand up on her own two feet. She found herself unable to maintain bills but doesn't want to go home, so she moved in with her man. This would appear to be paradise but as it's her brothers best friend... with this came consequences and repercussions!!!!!

When Sarah gets spare time she enjoys chilling with her old two school friends, Charmaine and Felicia. They are her home girls from day but they don't always understand her as they both live different lives. The "hot gyals" chose to go on to college for further education whereas Sarah chose to work and maintain a flat.

Even though she is loyal to her family she found love and acceptance in her partner .Her partner doesn't always treat her good but they do say love is blind...

Daniel James
17y/o

An older brother of two siblings, Sarah and Mathew. Grew up in a Christian house hold. His mother died when he was 12. His father threw himself into his role as a Pastor, so Daniel had to play mum and dad when looking after his brother and sister.

Daniel is seen as one of the "mandem" and has a big reputation in the endz, someone who don't play. Turning to another life Daniel found acceptance and security in his home boys; Dallas, who is a big cat on the endz and Jahmaine, as he found himself unable to live up to his dads expectations.

Locked up for 2yrs in juvenile helped Daniel to look at the barriers he faces as a young male, but on the other hand it's a life of excitement, power and hype. Coming out of prison he knows that it's not a life for him. He failed as a son, a role model his brother and sister once and this isn't an option again. Daniel knows if his mom was alive she would be disgusted and ashamed.

NOW he has a second chance he wants to make a change for the better.

Master's Touch is a performing arts company that consists of 10-15 performers with a selection of GCSE, A Level and Degree levels in performance, health and social, sports and media. As a company not only do we entertain we also provide life skills and training offered in communities such as, creative writing, music production, costume design, dance classes, just to name a few. However, with different career paths and backgrounds it has not stopped us from achieving our mission at hand which is 'to touch people where they are at'.

Master's Touch will be putting on a one night only show at the Birmingham Library Theatre on the 11th December 2010 called 'Behind a Closed Door'. The storyline is based around a family that suffers with many issues in silence as individuals and as a family. These issues are never openly addressed or spoken about to family or close friends until a tragic accident happens and rocks their emotions and a family member seeks revenge. The piece not only has drama but dance, media and music to complement the piece as a whole.
